Salma Hayek is bringing back the crimped hair look, and we love it! This style is full of joy, and everyone could use a bit of fun and excitement these days. A crimping tool is used to create crimped hair with a zigzag and wavy structure on straight or straightened hair. But because it's meant to look frizzy and have an extremely voluminous finish, it differs from loose curls or conventional wavy hairstyles. The style does not suit those with short hair as the waves will make your hair look shorter and bushy, which is not something you want. As you can see, her roots have been gelled down, allowing the curls to frame her face and her part to stay in the middle throughout the evening. If you want to create the illusion that your hair is fuller than it actually is, this is the style for you!
Salma has gone for an Egyptian-inspired makeup application which is another current trend. The wing design is dramatic and packs a good punch.

Apply styling mousse to damp hair, using your palm as a measuring guide, and evenly distribute it along the hair shaft. Styling mousse will add hold and can help achieve better results.
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your nose and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even middle part. A middle part is a great way to make small, round face shapes appear longer and thinner.
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. Tip your head upside down and move the diffuser up to the ends, motioning the diffuser to the scalp in circular movements. Make sure the blow-dryer speed is on low and try not to completely dry the hair off. Leaving a little bit of moisture will allow the hair to dry naturally.
Apply gel to the palms of your hands, and then starting at the top-back area, drag your hands forward, flattening your hair down as you go. For a wetter look use more gel.
To finish, evenly mist gel spray around the top, sides and back to create a lasting style.
