Description
Penelope Cruz is rocking this long, straight hairstyle. Straight hair is always nice because it shows off your layers well and helps to soften the edges of your face shape. You are going to need to use a product to ensure that your hair does not get damaged by the heat of the straightening iron. The parting down the right allows her hair to create height on one end, which will help to elongate her face shape and give off the illusion that her face is more narrow. Penelope has added lighter highlights through her hair as well as at the tips of her hair, which help to brighten this look, yet it still looks natural. You are going to need to color your hair once every 6 weeks or so to ensure that your color stays fresh and your roots do not show. This hairstyle is ideal for those with a strong jawline, such as an oblong, square, triangle, diamond, and heart face shape. All hair densities will suit this look, but if your hair is very thick, styling is going to take you a bit longer to get your hair dead straight.
When it comes to your makeup application, keep in mind that this style draws attention to your eyes, so you want your eyes to be the focal point of your makeup application. Finish off with a pastel pink or nude lipstick color and your overall look is ready to be shown to the world!

Styling Steps
Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.
When straightening your hair, first make sure that your hair is completely dry. Then, section your hair off starting from the back/nape using a comb. Straighten your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the ends using your comb as your guide. Make sure not to leave the straightening iron in one spot for more than 3 seconds. To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
