Marisa Tomei used to have short, blonde hair, but now that she is older, her hair has grown out, and she is sharing with us a stunning, formal hairstyle that will suit almost anyone! The nice thing about this style is that it shows off your natural, thick, luscious hair. This style will not suit those with a thinner hair texture, but if you have thick hair, this is the style for you! The layers in this style allow the curls to frame her face evenly on both sides, which is a great styling tool for you to have in your back pocket. The darker roots and lighter tips are fantastic for you to do because you do not have to go as often to recolor your hair. It also creates the illusion that the color is more subtle and natural looking.
When it comes to your makeup application, you can do what suits your face shape the best. You do want to keep in mind to highlight and contour your face and neck area, as this will help create the illusion of the perfect oval face shape. False lashes are also lovely to add to a formal makeup as they will make your eyes look more dramatic. Finish off with your favorite lipstick and gloss color and you are ready to take on the dance floor!

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your left eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even left part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.
Take a small section of hair and place the ends at the base of your curling iron barrel and then wrap the hair up around the barrel until you reach your mid-lengths. Hold the hair for 5 to 10 seconds and then release the hair by unwinding the strands backwards.
To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
Pulling your hair back and placing it behind your ear will help to keep the strands off your face and change the look of your style.
