Visual Story

Description

This naturally curly mane is layered all through the back and sides to balance out the body and volume. Highlights are added to give this casual style contrast and completes the over-all 'do perfectly. This hairstyle is best suited for those with naturally tight curly hair and will need regular trims to prevent split ends.

Halle Berry is fond of wearing head turning hairstyles and her latest one is no exception. This 'do looks fabulous on her oval face shape and brings all of the attention to her stunning features. Halle has large, expressive features so rocking a voluminous cut is easy for her to do. This hairstyle shows off her long neck and high cheekbones, while the layers all over create shape and volume. As we are used to seeing Halle with very textured, short hair, it's great to see her in a carefree, sexy voluminous 'do that shows off her natural flair and style. Overall this is a great look for Halle that works with her face shape , sense of style and her hair type.

Halle has a very soft-looking complexion that is a gorgeous light brown tone. She also has eyes that are dark which makes her suited to dark brown hair the best, however she can also pull off light brunette and blonde too thanks to her complexion. Here, she has chosen light blonde highlights with a brunette base. This is an excellent color choice for her as it makes her eyes pop and gives her complexion a warm glow. Not to mention, it adds more style and edge to her curly locks.

Styling Steps

Apply a small amount of hair moisturizer to the palm of your hand and distribute it evenly through the mid-lengths and the ends. Moisturizer will help your hair to maintain good condition and protect your strands from heat as you style.

Tip your head upside down and move the diffuser up to the ends, motioning the diffuser to the scalp in circular movements. Make sure the blow-dryer speed is on low and try not to completely dry the hair off. Leaving a little bit of moisture will allow the hair to dry naturally.

Using your diffuser, gently scrunch your hair dry in a rotating direction. Make sure the blow-dryer speed is on low and try not to completely dry the hair off as leaving a little bit of moisture will ensure that your curls do not frizz.

Apply moulding cream to your fingertips and then tilt your head forward and scrunch your hair.

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
