Visual Story

Description

Ariana Debose is sharing with us a gorgeous short hairstyle that is to die for! It might take you some time to get used to this look, but if you are bold enough to try it, you are going to love it! On oval, square, and heart-shaped faces, almost all pixie hairstyles look stunning. This particular style complements round face forms by providing angles that visibly lessen the roundness of the face. If you have a long face, this cut will elongate it even more. With a low-maintenance style, a blunt cut can help you get rid of damaged ends and improve your overall hair condition.

For this hairstyle simplicity is key. Try doing a monochromatic look with a similar color palette throughout. A light or dusty pink eye shadow with a simple lash paired with a rosy cheek and a pink lippie. Add a rose gold or champagne-colored highlighter and you are set to take the town by storm.

Styling Steps

Using the corner of your comb and standing in front of a mirror find the middle of your right eye and then drag the comb straight up slowly until you reach your hairline and then continue back in a straight manner to achieve an even right part. A side part is great for longer face shapes because it creates the illusion of width.

Squeeze a small amount of straightening balm into your palms and then rub your hands together before smoothing the product evenly through damp hair.

When blow-drying your bangs to the side, section your hair up and clip your hair back to leave only your bangs out. Remember to make sure that your bangs are damp to make blow-drying more effective. Next, take your brush and place it underneath the hair and then blow-dry starting from the roots, adding tension to the hair as you go. Slowly pull your section down to the ends and continue until dry.

To finish, apply a minimal amount of hairspray from an arms length distance to the top, sides and back. Take care not to use too much or you will end up with a white, flaky residue which looks like dandruff.
